Vacancies

We are always looking for earth stewards, peacemakers, and resourceful people to join us. If you have an interest in kindness, compassion, joy, equanimity, nature conservation and non-violence with a passion for the values of Old Wood Organic CIC, we would love to hear from you. We are committed to having an inclusive and diverse nature-based community and encourage applications from backgrounds which may be underrepresented in our wider community.

Volunteering Opportunities

We have opportunities for volunteers to join the woodland and garden management team in our no-dig garden and surrounding woodland in two cohorts twice a year (Spring/Summer & Autumn/ Winter). We use woodland gardening as a tool for educating people about the environment, supporting peoples wellbeing, and improving physical, mental and spiritual health.

Activities may vary, but some examples include:

  • Sowing seeds,
  • Growing food in our garden
  • Composting
  • Woodland Weeding
  • Coppicing
  • Clearing Paths
